Perovskite solar cell : ウィキペディア英語版 | Perovskite solar cell
A perovskite solar cell is a type of solar cell which includes a perovskite structured compound, most commonly a hybrid organic-inorganic lead or tin halide-based material, as the light-harvesting active layer.〔 Perovskite materials such as methylammonium lead halides are cheap to produce and simple to manufacture. Solar cell efficiencies of devices using these materials have increased from 3.8% in 2009 〔 to 20.1% in 2015, making this the fastest-advancing solar technology to date.〔 According to detailed balance analysis,〔 the efficiency limit of perovskite solar cells is about 31%, which approaches the Shockley–Queisser limit of gallium arsenide (33%). Their high efficiencies and low production costs make perovskite solar cells a commercially attractive option, with start-up companies already promising modules on the market by 2017.〔〔 ==Features==
Varun Sivaram, Samuel Stranks, and Henry Snaith in an article for Scientific American about perovskite solar cells said that the solar panels of tomorrow will be transparent, lightweight, flexible, and highly efficient. We will be able to coat shingles or skylights or windows with them, and it will all be as cheap as putting up wallpaper.〔(The future of solar: lightweight, flexible and as cheap as wallpaper ). Reneweconomy.com.au (July 6, 2015). Retrieved on 2015-11-19.〕 In July 2015 major hurdles were that the largest perovskite solar cell was only the size of a fingernail and that they degraded quickly in moist environments.
